Best Hotels In Crete
Best hotels in Crete you’re wondering?
Let’s get right into it ??
So we headed out to Chania recently. Where is Chania you ask? It’s in Crete Greece!
I have so much to share with you all and hopefully inspire you all to visit.
It’s the first time both hubby and I have been to Greece. It’s been on my list for a while and well since finding super cheap flights and awesome accomodation over on Air BnB I gifted it to hubby as a combo gift of Valentines Day / Birthday and first year wedding anniversary.
We were hosted at the beautiful Samaria Hotel in downtown Chania Greece for the first night and it was pretty amazing ?
We arrived pretty late the first night, after arriving at the airport, we headed on over to the car rental company where we picked up the car and headed straight into downtown Chania.
The staff were super nice and welcoming on the night and helped us settle in. There’s an on-site car park so that was so useful.
Did you guys know it’s tradition to have shots of Raki, which is a local Cretan spirit, right after dinner?
The hotel have it in the room for you and the restaurants serve it on the house.
It took us a couple of days to realise this was tradition!
How amazing is that?
We also got some awesome dessert on the house on multiple occasions during our stay in Crete at various places!
You can see it all on the YouTube channel here.
I digress, I wanted to say a huge thank you to the awesome guys at Samaria Hotel Chania.
Not only for making our stay so comfortable, but for being so helpful with some questions we had about the local area for our roadtrip we had planned highlighting the best places to visit in the region.
This place is perfect for not just solo travellers but it’s perfect for honeymooners who may be looking for a slice of zen right in the city.
It’s located right in the heart of Chania with restaurants and eateries located super close, and the awesome Chania Municipal Market.
The hotel is a walking distance from Old Town and the beautiful Venetian Harbour. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay along with free wi-fi and access to the gym (by the way it was amazing breakfast ?) The hotel felt like home away from home, the lobby is beautiful with cosy couches and candles in the evening and bar access right by it. You also have a beautiful corner of books for all you bookworms out there ?and a stunning grand piano! I was geeking at the pool area the evening we arrived since it was just so peaceful and relaxing. You can see further information and rated over on the website here.
Once again, a huge thank you to Samaria Hotel Chania for hosting us. Here’s some photos & a highlight video from our stay there ?
