Wondering what things to do in Paris?
I’m not sure there’s ever a time that isn’t right to visit the beautiful enchanting city of Paris right?
I mean, if you visit in Spring or Summer time, you can spend your time getting lost in the streets of the beautiful city, stopping off by the cafe’s and drinking and eating your way through it street by street. (Who’s with me on this one?)
Or if you have a trip planned for Autumn Winter time, you can be rest assured there will be plenty of cosy-ing up with the shorter days, cooler breeze and city lights brightening the dark skies bringing it to life.
The last trip we took to Paris was last Spring, May 2016. It was a bit of a combined trip and so we ended up doing quite a lot of sight seeing and errr….food eating ? Of course we had to meet Mickey and Minnie in there somewhere too ?
So that brings me to this little list of things to do in Paris on your next trip!
Of course, as ever, there’s no particular order.
Explore the Louvre
One of the things hubby and I didn’t do was actually go into the Louvre itself. My sister in law and the parents went for an explore whilst hubby and I soaked up some sun on the grounds close by to the Louvre. We ended up eating some amazing pancakes and getting a cheeky beer ? I absolutely loved exploring the streets nearby the Louvre as they have so much character ?
The Eiffel Tower
Of course… the infamous Eiffel Tower ? The last time I visited I was around 16 / 17 and absolutely loved the views even then. If you head on over to the tower, I would recommend going as early as possible to avoid the queues. It gets super busy and to be honest, can ruin the fun of it when it’s super busy. It’s definitely worth going IN the tower and checking out the views from the various platforms. The views are stunning on a clear day. They were around €15 at the time if I remember correctly, well worth it! I would recommend booking them online to avoid the queue if you can.
Arc De Triomphe
We were staying pretty close to where Arc De Triomphe is located (we loved the location and hotel) So each day we headed into the different districts, we saw it on the way ? The Arc De Triomphe is located on Champs Elysees which is on the same strip as Louvre funnily enough. We didn’t head in to the Arc De Triomphe but you can actually go up and capture the city views from there. (Next time!) You can buy tickets online again in advance, you can find out more information here on the official website.
One of the things I really love about Europe is the architecture. It doesn’t matter where you are in Europe… The architecture is like something out of this world. I really loved re visiting Notre Dame during this trip. Admission is free at this time and you can get further information here.
Of course, FOOD. Haha. Whilst exploring the streets of Paris, we literally stopped off at little cafe’s and bakeries and ate away. Seriously guys. Can’t put into words how amazing the food was ? I found a lot of vegetarian options ranging from sandwiches and pancakes during the day to Thai cuisine to Japanese in the evening. Literally the service and taste of food was great where ever we went.
Explore the Streets of Paris
I always always ALWAYS recommend on blog posts to just explore and get lost. Personally, I find that’s how you come across the small local businesses, quirky patesseries, independant artists selling art work and just everything in between.
Love Lock Bridge
God knows we need this in life right now….
We just had to go to Disney ? We ended up booking tickets on the day, but guys, definitely book in advance to save money and time. This trip came round very last minute for us, but in the past I have always booked Disney park tickets in advance. Same for Florida and Tokyo. You definitely save money and time! It’ s super easy to get from Central Paris to Disney via the subway system, it’s not that far out and it’s cost effective to go by yourself instead of a tour option. I would recommend spending at least 2 days there though, we had one day and I felt it was rushed.
And well… last but not least… You just have to see the Eiffel Tower & Arc De Trimphe by night ❤️
I hope you guys find this useful!
Are you off to Paris soon? Any recommends for my next trip?
Comment below, I would love to find out more and maybe take a visit myself!
